Welcome to the website for Lilley Village in Hertfordshire

Lilley History

The history of Lilley is long and fascinating, much of the village we see today is 250 years old at least but the area has been populated for much longer. The Roman Icknield Way passes just to the North of the village and it's reputed that there is an ancient temple along this route of some 5-6000 years old. This is just a 20 minute walk from Lilley.
Here is a collection of historic items that we hope you will find interesting, they are in no particular order and if you have something that you think other people will be interested in please send it to us and we'll be very happy to add it to our collection
